I saw many bloggers have online user counter widget on their blogs. Online user counter widget will show how many users or readers are browsing your blog at that time.
This widget is really a cool stuff. So, I Google and found a few sites that offer online user counter widget for your blog or site. Take a look :

Nice info. Bravenet static counter is not bad too. But I don’t use any online counter for now.

I like the sites you mentioned, but I doubt I would display it on my site.
It serves no real purpose if you ask me, why would you want to know how many visitors are on your site at that particular time. What do you intend doing with that info. This is just my personal opinion.

Cool list. I personally don’t like to use counters like that.
If it’s a newer site that only has a few visits then the new people to your website might not stay.
It’s kind of like social proof. For instance with an RSS counter, if a blog has like 2 subscribers then newer people might not subscribe because it’s not popular and they want to be involved in an active community.
If your site gets like 100,000 unique visitors per month though then it won’t be a problem.

Oh, I didn’t know it’s a widget. I thought it was a code inserted to the page. I’m not using the widgets panel on wordpress though. I want some code or html code to insert to show my online users. I haven’t had this on my blog.

It displays online users on any webpage and updates without refreshing the webpage.
It doesnt even have any ads.

Whos.Amung.Us is the best counter i use atm because some other counter is displaying popup ads.. That’s suck!
